That expansion means the market increasingly recognizes Mellow not as a point solution for one narrow problem, but as a platform that covers the full span of working with contractors and freelancers across borders.
For context: G2 is the largest software review platform in the world. Its quarterly Grid® Reports rank vendors on customer satisfaction and market presence, built entirely from reviews written by verified users. Nothing below was bought, pitched, or negotiated — it came from customers.
Contractor management: the core category
Mellow appears in the main Grid® Report for Contractor Management alongside dedicated mid-market and small-business grids, four regional grids (EMEA, Europe, Middle East, and Middle East & Africa), and index reports measuring usability, results, relationships, and implementation across each segment.
Two patterns stand out. The first is the small-business segment, where Mellow saw its strongest movement this cycle and picked up two new High Performer badges. Smaller teams don't have a procurement department or an implementation consultant — they need contractor management that works the same week they sign up.
The second is Europe, the Middle East, and Africa region, where Mellow holds Regional Leader status and added a new small-business regional badge. Fall 2026 also brought a first appearance in the Middle East Regional Grid® Report for Contractor Management, a market G2 only recently began tracking separately.
Contractor of record: a first listing
This cycle marks Mellow's debut in the Grid® Report for Contractor of Record.

The practical effect is that hiring in a new market stops being a legal project. Being tracked in this category means G2 now reflects what a good share of our customers already rely on us for.
Freelancer management systems: from one listing to full presence
The biggest structural change this cycle came in freelancer management systems. In Summer 2026 Mellow was a single new entry in the main grid. In Fall 2026 it's a full presence: the main Grid® Report, the EMEA Regional Grid®, and four separate index reports.
Three of the eight badges came from here. Best Estimated ROI and Fastest Implementation are the two we're most pleased about, because they aren't satisfaction scores in the abstract. They measure how quickly customers get live and how much value they estimate getting back — the two questions that actually determine whether a contractor management system survives its first quarter inside a company.
What customers actually praise
Categories and badges are the output. The input is what customers write.
Recent G2 satisfaction data puts Mellow at 98% on Quality of Support against a category average of 90% — the widest gap between Mellow and the field on any single measure, and the reason the Best Support badge is where it is. Ease of Setup sits at 95% against an average of 91%, and Meets Requirements at 94% against 91%.
