Finance Operations Analyst (Billing & Reconciliation)

You’ll be joining our Finance team — 18 professionals with strong expertise across analytics, automation, accounting, operations, treasury, and reporting. The team is led by our Chief Financial Officer and includes specialists in everything from revenue recognition to reconciliation. While many are based in Cyprus, Mellow’s mission allows us to hire talent wherever it thrives. Join us in the role of a Finance Operations Analyst to help us build a world-class finance engine.

Your Role in Action

• Validate and verify financial data before transferring it to accounting (billing / reconciliation);
• Perform reconciliations with clients and partners, ensuring accuracy of calculations;
• Work with large datasets: analysis, validation, and discrepancy investigation;
• Interact with banks, payment providers, and internal teams (product, engineering);
• Participate in financial period closing;
• Prepare and validate data for financial and management reporting;
• Identify data issues and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve them;
• Optimize and automate data processing and reconciliation workflows;
• Maintain and improve financial calculation logic and templates;

What Makes You a Great Fit

• 3+ years of experience in fintech / financial operations / billing / data-driven finance;

• Strong data skills:

  • SQL (must-have: ability to write and adapt queries)
  • Advanced Excel / Google Sheets
  • Power Query;
• Understanding of basic accounting principles (core concepts and transaction logic);
• Experience with reconciliation and financial flows;
• Understanding of how data changes impact financial accounting and reporting;
• Experience working with banking systems and payment providers;
• Ability to quickly understand new data structures and adapt to changes;
• Strong attention to detail and structured thinking;
• English — conversational level;

Nice to have

• Experience with billing or large-scale transactional systems;
• Experience working with product / engineering teams;
• Understanding of management reporting;
