Contractor

A self-employed individual or entity contracted to perform work for or provide services to another entity as a non-employee.

They are responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and benefits, unlike employees. Contractors are often hired for their specialized skills or to complete specific projects, providing businesses with flexibility and expertise without the long-term commitment of hiring a full-time employee.
